Description: This is the third installment of demos for the next Pere Ubu album, "Lady From Shanghai." Click here for the first set, and here for the second set. These mp3 files include lyrics should your player be able to read them. These songs are somewhere between demos and works-in-progress. They are far from completed. They are at the place where the ideas are coalescing. They will continue to evolve as instruments, parts and ideas are added and fleshed out. The titles are working titles and so they may or may not change.
It's highly unlikely that "Thanks" will appear in this form. David is in the process of grooming Steve Mehlman to be his replacement as Ubu's singer. This, however, is one of those studio larks that rarely see the light of day.
